Pure-zari Balaramapuram bridal saree
From handwoven Balaramapuram kasavu on the ground floor to the kids' floor on top — every garment a Kerala wedding asks for, gathered under one Mavoor Road roof. Prices indicative; the showroom holds twenty times what fits on a screen.
Real metallic zari thread — historically silver dipped in molten gold — woven by hand into the border of an unbleached cotton saree. The base is ivory because the cotton was not bleached. The border is gold because it is gold.
Sourced directly from Balaramapuram (Thiruvananthapuram), Chendamangalam (Ernakulam) and Kuthampully (Thrissur) — the three remaining handloom clusters.
The colour floor — deep crimsons, bottle greens, ivory-and-rose. Kanchipuram silks woven with korai zari, Banarasi katan with meenakari weave, and designer lehengas with zardosi and hand-mirror work.
Pulled by appointment, viewed on the bride — with the in-house bridal salon next door for the drape and trial.
